Oro Condos Rising, and Rising
Last we checked in, the folks in new contracts over at Oro Condos (rendering) were looking forward to sipping martinis in their in-house singles bar. We strolled over to see the building itself, and were surprised at the sheer height of the thing, and it’s only just more than half up. Looks like about 26 floors constructed, and it’s going up to 40 stories.
As for sales, they have already sold some of the sky you see above, because the building has passed the one-per-floor sold mark: the listings show 47 sold, the most expensive being a 2-bed, 2-bath unit going for $840 a square foot at $900k. Many more still on the block over at Elliman.
Seems like the whole project tailors to the single people that are married to their jobs that pay rouphly 100+ annually, have no time, kids and families and thus would not be exploring the area with the projects all around. It is sickening that now some people are looking to make money off the young generation’s misery of having to spend their lives traped in their jobs. When they are getting into those mortgages it will make them even more job dependent.
