Mortgage Rates Steady, Inching Down

This recent drip from the firehose of news on mortgage rates is relevant to anyone still waiting to lock in: Freddie Mac reports that for two weeks straight the 30-year rates have slipped. This week, it was tiny drop of a hundreth of a point to 6.16. At least they’re not rising. Another good point: a year ago the rate was 6.58.
